Our Mission

​Garrow Space Systems was founded with the goal of developing various technologies needed to enable new and upcoming industries in space including but not limited to, in-space refueling, manufacturing and assembly, commercial space stations, satellite servicing, orbital debris removal, and asteroid mining. We intend to do this by developing key technologies that we believe will be important to enable the industry to succeed and grow.

Our Projects

The first project the team worked on together is the Zoran thruster, a small Hall-effect thruster (HET). The Zoran thruster was designed to serve as the primary propulsion system on CubeSats and other small satellites, or as part of an array of thrusters on larger satellites for translation and rotation control.

Our team is also consulting on various projects including a Combined Artificial Gravity and Exercise (CAGE) system. The CAGE system is a short-arm human centrifuge to be used in sustaining astronaut health during long term or Lunar space missions. The project is currently under development at the SFU Aerospace Physiology lab in Burnaby, BC.

Contribution

My primary contribution to the team has been in systems analysis and verification. With my experience as a Quality Assurance Test Developer, I have worked on validating and optimizing the system design through research and simulated models.

As a consultant, I have assisted in the mechanical and electrical design of some early scale models for the Combined Artificial Gravity and Exercise (CAGE) system. The scale model will be used as a tool for further analysis by collecting sensor data and effects on the surrounding spacecraft. ​
